In its first year the club produced teams at every level - U12, U14, U16, Minor and Junior. All teams bar the Juniors got to the final of their division with the U14s bringing home our first silverware in winning the Division 2 U14 title. With enthusiastic and capable trainers and mentors and close cooperation with the men's club, this year we hope to emulate and improve on last years performance.

After
many years and notable success playing with St. Mary's
Ladies GAA club, based in Tulsk, it became apparent that
there was a significant pool of talent in Strokestown
itself. So, at a meeting in December 2006 which was attended
and supported by the then Strokestown GAA chairman Martin
Sheil and secretary Joanne McGinley, the decision was made
to form an independent, Strokestown based club. This club
was duly reformed in early 2007.
