Welcome to StrokestownGAA.com

Strokestown GAA is a Gaelic Football club based in Co. Roscommon, Ireland.

We are currently competing at Senior and Junior levels as well as underage.

The club, though going through many transitions in the early years, was founded in 1881, around the same period as the GAA national association was set up for the first time. Read a history of the club here.

There are also several pages of archives from a few years ago when the website was previously operating, and they can be found here.

 New Website 05/12/07

The website has now been revamped, in the interest of a long life it has been made easier to update and we have a reliable and enthusiastic team of people who are doing this on a regular basis. Particular thanks to club PRO John McHugh for a great job so far.

If you're visiting the site for the first time, please sign the guestbook here and let us know what you think.

Sports Development Progress: Plans are well underway for a new pitch complex, located near the secondary school, soccer pitch and community centre. It'll be an invaluable addition to the club and to the town. Read more here.
