Strokestown, playing 50
mins of the game with 14 men after a Pearse McGinley was shown a red
card after 10mins for a foot trip on Francie, were 6-3 up at
halftime thanks to 6 points from on form John Rogers. Stepping in
for missing Luke Dolan, John showed his class missing only two frees
in the whole match.
The Strokestown Defence
was excellent throughout, Leo Shiel was solid, Derek Hagan caught
some great ball but lacked with his work-rate, KevinJ and John
Rogers were the pick of the forwards.
